The Gazit Institute's purpose is to expand the boundaries of intelligence analysis: different questions, answered with different tools and using advanced methods, presented in a different kind of intelligence product.
Introducing the Gazit Institute
The Gazit Institute is an extension of the Research and Analysis Division of Israel Defense Intelligence. An institute for advanced, applied, data-driven studies, Gazit was established in collaboration with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and the Directorate of Defense Research & Development at the Ministry of Defense. The institute matches knowledge and ideas from the civilian world with intelligence data and needs from the defense world, combining research from different fields with advanced information technologies.  It is named after General Shlomo Gazit, who led the rebuilding process of Israel Defense Intelligence after the Yom Kippur War.
